The Law On Supporting The Development Of Forest Villagers And Land Use Of The Areas Excluded From Forrest Boundaries On Behalf Of Ministry Of Treasury And Liquidation Of Agricultural Estate Belonging To Ministry” also known to the public opinion as the “Law of 2B”, entered into force by publishing in the Official Gazette dated 26 April 2012 and numbered 28275.
By this law, the 2/A lands excluded from the forrest boundaries in behalf of Ministry of Tresuary, by the Forest Cadastral Commission; villages located within or adjacent to conveyed State forests, transferred to the General Directorate of Forestry, for purposes of amelioration to assign the lands to the villagers, partially or wholly; and 2/B lands are transferred to the Ministry of Tresuary, to be utilized within the context of the Law.
The Ministry will be able to sell the lands to the original users primarily, once the lands are registered as Treasury property.
Additionally, expropriation of the real property belonging to the people of village or neighborhood located within or adjacent to the state Forrests which are decided to be transferred and placed or required to be removed, shall be executed according to the provisions of the Expropriation Act, by the relevant public authority, if necessary.
